Suppliers offered rare access to defence procurement buyers
The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), which delivers the MOD’s Science and Technology (S&T) programme, will partner with Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE) this year to explore challenges and opportunities within the defence acquisition supply chain.
The DPRTE 2014 event, to be held on 8th October 2014, will provide an opportunity for suppliers to gain access to defence procurement buyers, including Dstl which holds 60% ownership of the MOD S&T programme and works with around 900 suppliers. It will also give attendees a valuable chance to network with Dstl, whose share of the S&T programme is set to increase over the coming years.
Dstl will have a stand where visitors will be able to meet senior executives and find out how to work with the laboratory. Dstl’s Dr David Massey will give a presentation about their Science & Technology Strategy, and Ed Rochead will make a presentation on its work in disruptive capabilities.
