You’ve probably heard of the ‘techlash’ – the backlash against the technology industry, which seems to be growing in its intensity. In particular, companies that process large amounts of consumer data, or develop artificial intelligence capabilities are under the spotlight. Public, and political, concerns around data privacy are fueling the techlash.
Earlier this summer, AprilSix Proof conducted a survey of 400 UK-based marketing, communications and public relations professionals working in B2B technology; asking about the impact that the techlash has had on PR, and how the function is perceived within their organisation.
