Up to 76 million household and 7 million small business accounts compromised
Hackers have compromised JPMorgan Chase this summer in what may be one of the largest breaches on record. Up to 76 million household and 7 million small business accounts have been compromised.
Details of the breach were disclosed on Thursday and it has appeared that hackers exploited vulnerabilities in applications that JPMorgan employees use, as an entry point into the banking system.
As a bank, JPMorgan holds not just bank details, but a whole trove of sensitive information such as social security numbers, addresses and passwords.
