The Times: QS table reveals UK has four of the world’s six top universities
After ten years of compiling global university league tables, the QS publishing company has revealed the strongest showing for UK universities thus far.
The University of Cambridge and Imperial College London are tied in second place behind MIT, with Oxford and UCL coming in joint fifth place behind Harvard. King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh come in 16th and 17th place respectively, with Bristol and Manchester also making it in to the top 30.
The results are a real triumph for the UK, with London coming through as the only city to have five universities in the top one hundred.
