April-Six, the leading global technology marketing agency and part of The Mission Marketing Group, has acquired Proof Communication, a specialist in technology, science and engineering public relations, to create a new way for technical organisations to access any type of strategic communication support from a single specialist team.
The acquisition adds Proof’s capabilities in media relations, technical content creation, digital PR and public affairs, to April-Six’s deep, global expertise in strategic brand development, integrated marketing and demand generation for some of the world’s most important technology brands. By combining their experience and services, April-Six and Proof can disrupt the market by offering clients a unique proposition that marries the direct impact of specialist marketing with the ability of public relations to influence broader perceptions.
The acquisition will provide new opportunities for Clients from both businesses. April-Six Clients will be able to increase the impact of their marketing campaigns by utilising PR to boost publicity and awareness. Proof’s Clients will enjoy access to a considerably broader range of specialist services that support every aspect of their communication requirements.
Together, the companies will also look at new ways to measure the impact of more integrated communication campaigns. April-Six has a significant heritage in results-led marketing and Proof has always focused on evaluating the effect of its work on Clients’ business objectives. By sharing experience of results driven marketing strategies, they expect to deliver award-winning activities that raise the bar across the sectors they serve.
Proof co-founder Richard Moss and directors Jim Sutton and Joe Meaney will remain in place as the Proof Communication leadership team and will report to April-Six CEO Fiona Shepherd. They will work as part of April-Six’s broader leadership team to integrate the Proof and April-Six services into a single compelling offer for current and future Clients.
