You’ve probably heard of the ‘techlash’ – the backlash against the technology industry, which seems to be growing in its intensity. In particular, companies that process large amounts of consumer data, or develop artificial intelligence capabilities are under the spotlight. Public, and political, concerns around data privacy are fueling the techlash.
Earlier this summer, AprilSix Proof conducted a survey of 400 UK-based marketing, communications and public relations professionals working in B2B technology; asking about the impact that the techlash has had on PR, and how the function is perceived within their organisation.
As a result, we’re pleased to announce the publication of Feedback Loop: Communication in the age of the techlash. In our new whitepaper, we look at the societal, political and technological developments that are either forcing, or will force, tech companies to become more accountable; and how PR can and should exert more influence on business strategy and corporate values.
The whitepaper is free to download now at http://comms.aprilsixproof.com/feedbackloop. We’d love to hear your feedback, so if you have any questions or comments drop Amy Drummond, AprilSix Proof’s Head of Technology, an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or join the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #techfeedbackloop
